Who it is for
People aged 18 or over who are recognised leaders, or show potential to lead, in academia or research, arts and culture, or digital technology.
Two ways to apply
- Endorsement: you first prove to an endorsing body that you are a leader or potential leader in your field, then apply for the visa.
- Prestigious prize: named winners of a prize on the official eligible list can apply without an endorsement.
How long you can stay
You can live and work in the UK for up to 5 years at a time and extend with no overall limit. You may be able to settle after 3 or 5 years, depending on your field and how you applied. Your partner and children can be included, each applying separately.
How Ascend helps
The endorsement depends on evidence: recommendation letters, proof of recognition and a clear story of your impact. We map your field's criteria, gather and organise your evidence, draft your personal statement and prepare the visa file. Because every case is different, we confirm the scope in your clarity session. Legal advice is handled by an independent lawyer, billed directly.
